Asana practice is not only about doing fancier poses or showy contortions but is, instead, about creating a pathway of awareness from your outer form to deeper levels of inner knowing. Basic poses offer practitioners of all levels opportunities to experience the benefits of yoga without undue strain and stress on the body. Not to be confused with “gentle” or “easy” yoga, this approach will invite you to greater attention, focus, awareness and will require dynamic work in body, mind and heart. Whether you are a new or experienced yoga practitioner or teacher, this training will give you tangible ways to work with props, modifications and alignment techniques to bring your yoga into new expressions and understanding.
