This Intensive is for experienced students and teachers who want to explore postures that are often not covered in public classes such as advanced back bends, inversions, arm-balancing, and deep forward folds. Christina's intelligent sequencing and progressive understanding of the postures informs this 4-day exploration of advanced postures and will provide participants with a deeper understanding of how to work on and towards advanced postures as safely as possible.
Morning practices will focus on back bending and arm balancing, and afternoon sessions will emphasize restoratives, inversions, forward bends and twists.
Intermediate/Advanced does not always mean more bendy or more extreme, but also involves developing more subtle awareness and requires the capacity to honor one's limits compassionately and unapologetically. To attend this intensive, we ask that you have familiarity with headstand and shoulder stand, be able to kick to wall in handstand and forearm balance unassisted, push up to urdhva dhanurasana with straight arms unassisted. And of course, a capacity to sit certain postures out and remain of good cheer, and a desire to learn and grow!
This Intensive can be taken on it's own, or as a part of Christina's 300-hour Teacher Training. Learn more about training here.
All intensives are hosted at Mount Princeton Hot Springs, just a short walk from the soaking pools. Your tuition includes full access for your entire stay to all pools as well as the Spa and Club. You choose whether you stay onsite at the springs, at an Airbnb in Nathrop or BV, or any other option. We will send you more details upon registering!
