Want to learn techniques for helping you and your students make progress in these sometimes exhilerating and sometimes challenging postures?
Want to be part of a group of people interested in learning, practicing and exploring asanas together in a collegial, respectful and inspiring atmosphere?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, the Asana Junkies Winter Session is for you! This Back Bending “workshop” will center around the Asana Junkies Sequence #1 and will empahsize additional tips and techniques to help students deepen their back bending postures safely and effectively. Christina Sell will outline a 75-minute general sequence that can be practiced as a routine or an ongoing conditioning program. In addition to this general sequnece, she will provide protocols for strength-building, shoulder stretching, quad stretching, upper back opening that can be done independently or can added onto the general sequence to create longer, more focused back bending sequences.

Please Note--Students interested in this course should be familiar with headstand, handstand, pinca mayurasana and shoulderstand. Our back bend emphasis will center around urdhva dhanurasana and dwi pada viparita dandasana. Modifications, variations as well as more advanced options will be offered.
