The asana intensive is designed for practitioners and teachers who want to dive deeper into asana studies as a means of self-understanding and personal growth. The mornings begin with a short contemplative practice such as journal writing, chanting, or basic pranayama, followed by a dynamic asana class with Christina. Each afternoon session provides time for Q&A, restorative yoga postures, and are generally more introspective and quiet in tone. Teachers and students alike will walk away inspired and refreshed having practiced, deeply and in community, for a long weekend in what has been described as "part education, part retreat, part vacation."
The 4-days are sequenced progressively and build on one another providing an intelligent, thoughtful unfolding of information and experience that empowers students to actively participate in the process of practice. Expect to practice a wide variety of asanas and to learn modifications, explanations, and alternatives that will meet you where you are.
This Intensive can be taken on it's own, or as a part of Christina's 300-hour Teacher Training. Learn more about training here.
All intensives are hosted at Mount Princeton Hot Springs, just a short walk from the soaking pools. Your tuition includes full access for your entire stay to all pools as well as the Spa and Club. You choose whether you stay onsite at the springs, at an Airbnb in Nathrop or BV, or any other option. We will send you more details upon registering!
